Or you could be like me and make it all the way through college, establish a career path that has nothing to do with college, and then want to stop doing that too. Needless to say, this one speaks to me. :)

Thanks so much for commenting, Casavay! While I'm going to go ahead and admit that I can be very resistant to listening to people's opinions when it comes to my stuff (positive or negative), It's really good to know what people think of what I do. Because I know I'll have that in the back of my mind asking me, "Well... do they have a point? Yes... they probably do." I really like the fact that Season 4 (Wonder Hanger Arc) is probably, I guess, your least favorite. As I've been doing three 'seasons' after it, I've been thinking... "I wonder if that's what the people really liked and now they'll find all this stuff boring." Glad to know that doesn't have to be the case. And while I love Season 4, I'm not going to be surprised if my future self, 10 or 20 years from now, says, "What the crap was I thinking?"

Also, I can definitely assure you that I put a great deal of thought in the depth of my comic. I don't want to get too egotistical, but I want there to be important themes in the story and relationship of the characters, but while still keeping it grounded. I don't want to take it too seriously, but the tone doesn't always make it an easy task.

And I'm glad you really liked episode 371. There's been a great deal of darkness through the last few story lines, and it was nice to do something with heart and to give justified hope. I know my comic's a bit of a rough ride, for my characters, for me, and for all the readers. And to anyone who still reads it, I'm glad you're able to stick with it, and I hope you continue to enjoy it.

I discovered this comic today and read through the whole archives. And I just wanted to say that I think it is awesome.
The comic was very confusing in the beginning, and the art is not exactly the best (though I have to add that it does improve greatly, especially in Kimberly's case), but art is not the most important factor, and I think that it is really fitting to convey the themes you picture.
The reason I love it is because it seems like an extremely stupid story, devoid of any sense, but when you spend a moment thinking about it, it hits you as hard as a freight train. Many of the topics are deeply philosophical, and while I agree with the few criticisms that the characters are partly unrealistic, I do not believe that this story would be half as good if they were. In fact, I believe that quite the opposite is the case. A lot of their traits are, or at least were, strongly stereotypical, and because of that they fulfilled their purpose; to illustrate their different points.
When the character development started, however... I was a bit worried. I somehow suspected that Kimberly did have mental problems, alright. And I feeled that her 'bond' to her plants was understandable, given her situation. Now, I do not claim to be a psychologist, but I found her rape of Baines to be a surprising turn of events, to say the least. Her following pregnacy was just to be expected of a comic where every character has some sort of problem, some more crippling and devastating than others. I must say that I like that about this comic, yes. Even if that makes me some sort of twisted abominations, I like it to see a character completely crushed from time to time, just because it rarely happens, seeing as how most authors are protective of their creations (I know I am, for once, and I regret it).
But the Wonder Hanger/Abortion arc... I felt like it was misplaced, unneccessary. It seemed needlessly cruel and I did not expect Baines, of all people, to react so... destructively. And I was kind of... well, apprehensive to see their 'relationship' to be based on hatred and an apparent mutual dislike.
Which is why I specifically have to mention Nr. 371. It just... removed my worries. Things are looking 'up' again. In other words... 'You nailed it'.
As for the other characters, I feel sort of bad for them. They never really have any luck and constantly destroy and crush any sort of hope they seem to get.
I find that depressing.

Now, I know this comic is not intended to be upbeat and a comedy. If I want upbeat, I read a different comic. Like I said, I love this comic already because it has depth. Maybe I am overinterpreting in it, and it is in reality really shallow. But if that is the case, I would rather live my lie.

I know it is not my place to give you any advice, or any unbased criticism. This is just what I feel after having read over 370 strips. And I wanted to let you know that I, for one, am a reader who avidly follows you works from now on.

Yep. If his baby turns out to be a boy, he's asking permission to name the baby, 'Lee'. If the baby would turn out to be a girl, then he's not going to worry about permission since he wouldn't have any plans to name the baby, "Lee". If it would turn out to be an alien, then he would go to Glorbakon of the Planet Kwinapawsakofv, to name the baby, "Blorgeron".

In panel 2, is he asking for permission to name him Lee if he's a boy after he's been born?

This... isn't very good. I thought the grandma was a man. Why does she have horns on her chin? The jokes all fell flat. Not sure you're ready to be advertising.
